Ingredients list

  • 350 g stale bread
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
  • 200 g cucumbers
  • 1 red onion
  • 10 leaves basil
  • 250 ml water
  • 60 ml white balsamic vinegar
  • 20 ml olive oil extra virgin
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Directions

  • First, cut the stale bread into slices and then into roughly equal bite-sized cubes. Then put them in a large salad bowl, add the water and white balsamic vinegar and mix thoroughly. Then set aside and allow to soak.

  • In the meantime, wash the cherry tomatoes and cucumbers thoroughly. Quarter the tomatoes, halve the cucumbers lengthwise and cut into thin slices. Peel the red onion, halve it and cut it into fine half rings.

  • Now take the bowl with the soaked bread and mix again. Pick the basil leaves with your hands. Then add them to the bread along with the tomatoes, cucumbers and onions.
